*THE DIFFERENT GRADES OF VIRGIN HAIR

                                5A, 3A, 7A.......WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN????

VIRGIN HAIR AS YOU MAY KNOW COMES IN MANY DIFFERENT GRADES. THE GRADING SCALE IS USED TO DESCRIBE THE QUALITY OF THE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF VIRGIN HAIR.

*3A GRADE  THIS GRADE OF HAIR DOES NOT HAVE LONGEVITY. IT MAY ONLY LAST YOU ABOUT 6-7 MONTHS, EVEN WITH THE PROPER CARE. THIS HAIR TENDS TO DRY OUT REALLY FAST AND TANGLE AS WELL. TO SUM IT ALL UP THIS GRADE OF HAIR IS GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT.

*4A GRADE   THIS GRADE OF HAIR IS CONSIDERED TO BE VIRGIN REMY HAIR. IT CAN LAST YOU UP TO A YEAR WITH THE PROPER CARE. CHEMICAL PROCESSING IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THIS HAIR. DEEP CONDITIONING IS VERY NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN THE LONGEVITY OF THIS GRADE. TANGLING MAY OCCUR BECAUSE THIS HAIR HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY PROCESSED.

5A GRADE   THIS GRADE OF HAIR IS CONSIDERED TO BE A FAVORITE WHEN IT COMES TO VIRGIN HAIR. IT IS AFFORDABLE AND VERY FLEXIBLE AS FAR AS BEING ABLE TO CHEMICAL PROCESS. THIS GRADE IS RAW VIRGIN HAIR, AND CAN BE BLEACHED AND LIGHTED UP TO COLOR #30. THIS GRADE COMES IN VIRGIN "REMY" AND 100% HUMAN HAIR. IN ORDER TO GET THE BEST RESULTS WHEN CHEMICAL PROCESSING, 100% HUMAN HAIR IS NEEDED.

6A GRADE   THIS GRADE OF HAIR IS CONSIDERED TO BE A ROYALTY GRADE. THIS IS RAW, UNPROCESSED VIRGIN HAIR, AND CAN LAST FOR YEARS IF THE PROPER CARE IS MAINTAINED. THIS GRADE TO BE MUCH FULLER AT THE ENDS SO WHEN STYLING YOU CAN ACHIEVE A FULLER LOOK. THIS GRADE CAN ALSO BE COLORED TO ANY COLOR DESIRED. THIS GRADE IS ALSO ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE GRADES.

7A GRADE   THIS IS A ROYALTY GRADE BECAUSE IT IS SOFTER, FULLER, AND CAN LAST UP TO 5 YEARS WITH THE PROPER CARE. THE MOST EXPENSIVE BUT LUXURY DOES'NT COME CHEAP!!

*GREAT PRODUCTS TO USE ON YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

Dry Hair Extensions

Luster! Luster! Luster! Those of us who wear hair extensions know that there is nothing worst than dry hair extensions. We want our hair to shine without looking oily, plastic, or fake!! When hair extensions lose their shine and that soft glow we all want to know whats the best products to use?

Well, I would like to share with you some of the products I use on my extensions that definitely gives my hair LIFE without KILLING my pockets!

                                                 CANTU SHEA BUTTER SHEEN SPRAY
                                                      http://www.superbeautydepot.com

YES!!! I loves me some "Cantu". Not only does it have a nice fragrance but it adds a silky, lustrous, shine to my hair extensions. The Price of this product can cost anywhere from $5.00 to $7.00 but that's not a problem because it is money well spent. I recommend using lightly maybe once a day because you don't want to have your extensions filled with so much product that it weighs the hair down and causes you to lose the hairs natural flow and body. Available at your local beauty supply or online retail.

                                                    SMOOTH N SHINE POLISHING
                                                           http://www.walmart.com

This is another one of my favorite products that I use to add luster to my hair extensions. Smooth n shine polishing spray. It is an instant repair for dry and dull looking extensions. It is not heavy and has a light unnoticeable fragrance. This can be used throughout the day but just don't over do it. This product cost anywhere from $4.00 to $6.00. Available at Walmart or your local beauty supply store.

                                                               Oil Free Wig Shine
                                                            http://wignaccent.com/

Now this product right here has rightfully earned it's position in my top 3 favorite sheen products. I have had my hands in hair for over 6 years and this product has faithfully done its job. I actually use this product on my natural hair as well as my hair extensions. It leaves a medium shine that can last throughout the day and has little to a light fragrance. A wonderful closing to a finished hairstyle. This product comes in three different sizes to fit your budget, which is always a great thing. Available at your local beauty supply or online retail.

Matted & Tangled Hair

Now I know i'm not the only one out here who has broken a comb or two trying to run a comb through matted and tangled hair extensions?!! Drives you crazy right? Makes you just want to take the hair out of your head and throw the hair in the trash can right? Well, "STOP"...."DON'T DO IT"..."PUT THE COMB DOWN SLOWLY" and read on!

I want to share with you products and tools that I use to keep my hair extensions manageable and easy to detangle.

First, let me start off by saying that if you spend a little extra money and pay for quality hair you will have less hassle with detangling. Second, there is a proper way and proper tools to use when detangling your extensions. When I speak of detangling your hair, I am speaking in reference to both dry and wet extensions, straight, wavy, and so on.

                                                  DETANGLING SHAMPOO BRUSH
                                                       http://www.denmanbrush.com/

If your having trouble detangling your hair extensions after you shampoo and condition them, use a shampoo brush while your shampooing and conditioning and I promise detangling will be less of a hassle during the comb through process. (remember to always start brushing from the bottom while holding the hair weft as well.) This item should not cost you more than $2.00. Available at your local beauty supply or online retail.

ISOPLUS WET N WAVY DETANGLING SPRAY
                                                                http://misswigs.com/

Okay, don't get me wrong, I know this product says "wet and wavy" but I use this on my straight hair as well as my curly hair (wet or dry) when I am detangling. It works wonders!! I usually spray enough on my extensions without drenching them (depending on the hair type) Then, I brush through small sections of my hair taking out any kinks or tangles. This product can cost anywhere from $4.00 to $6.00 Available at your local beauty supply or online retail.

*I'm sure everyone knows that during the comb out process, Detangle Brushes or Large Tooth Combs should be used, right?? Okay Great!!

I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE OUT! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS, DON'T BE AFRAID TO POST THEM...XOXO

*VIRGIN HAIR 101

Indian-  The most versatile hair of all hair types. Indian hair is naturally full, bouncy and very fine and in its virgin state, it has subtle waves and can be easily curled and styled. It also will swell and become frizzy in humid weather. Indian hairis less course than Chinese hair. It can easily match many textures.
Brazilian-  This is the most natural hair for those with curlier hair types. Brazilian hair is strong and can be naturally straight, wavy or curly. The curlier textures are defined by being the most manageable of hair in its catagory. Due to its density, you do not need to use as many bundles to create a full look.
Chinese-  This is an extremely straight texture and very shiny. It doesn't hold a curl well and usually has it cuticle layer stripped to minimize tangling.
Malaysian-  Sleek and straight with a slight wave. Malaysian hair holds curls exceptionally well. It is thicker and more dense than Chinese and Indian hair. It has a natural sheen, never to shiny, yet it is soft and smooth with alot of body. Malaysian hair dries straight with a slight wave which can be flat ironed or set, depending on your desire.
Peruvian-  Extremely lightweight, even in large amounts and very manageable. This hair is soft, fine, silky and low to medium luster, which makes it a perfect fit for those seeking and african american relaxed or Latin texture.
Cambodian-  This hair is light, yet is slightly coure in texture. It matches extremely well with relaxed African American hair.
Mongolian-  Texture falls between Malaysian and Chinese. Its very silky and fine.

Grade 4a-  Full cuticle raw but has been slightly processed. If chemically processed hair will become extra dry and brittle.
Grade 5a-
Raw non processed hair which only comes in natural black and natural brown colors. Hair is full cuticle and can be washed, bleached, ombred. and still hold a beautiful curl.

Remy Virgin Hair  Can not be chemically processed
100% Human Hair/Virgin Hair  - Can be chemically processed

*CHEMICALLY PROCESSING YOUR VIRGIN HAIR

A LOT OF US WANT TO STAND OUT IN THE CROWD, SO THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO A VIRGIN HAIR FLAUNTER'S MIND IS TO OMBRE' THE VIRGIN HAIR TO AVOID THE "PLAIN JANE" LOOK. PLEASE DON'T GET IT TWISTED AND THINK THAT ALL VIRGIN HAIR CAN BE CHEMICALLY PROCESSED OR BLEACHED.

MANY WOMEN BUY VIRGIN HAIR AND AFTER THEY CHEMICALLY PROCESS THE HAIR IT BECOMES MATTED, TANGLED, DRY, OR WORST!! NOW THEY HAVE SPENT ALL OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY ON VIRGIN HAIR ONLY TO HAVE DESTROYED IT. SO WHAT DO THEY DO NEXT? THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT THE VIRGIN HAIR AND FIGURE THE PERSON WHO SOLD THEM THE HAIR HAS BAD HAIR BUT, WHAT I'M HERE TO DO IS LET YOU KNOW ITS NOT THAT THEY HAVE BAD HAIR YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF VIRGIN HAIR TO ASK FOR, AND THAT WILL DEPEND ON YOUR PLANS FOR STYLING AND WEARING THE HAIR.

RETAILER'S WHO SELL VIRGIN HAIR SHOULD DEFINITELY LET YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF VIRGIN HAIR THAT IS AVAILABLE AND IF THEY DO NOT PLEASE DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK.

LET ME START WITH THIS! MANY OF US KNOW THAT 5A VIRGIN HAIR IS KNOWN FOR BEING A QUALITY GRADE BUT DON'T LET THE LABEL 5A FOOL YOU. THERE IS A SUCH THING AS 5A BRAZILIAN "REMY" HAIR AND THIS HAIR CANNOT BE CHEMICALLY PROCESSED! I MEAN WE ALL LOVE US SOME REMY HAIR SO WE FIGURE IT IS TOP KNOTCH HAIR. YES IT IS GREAT HAIR IF YOU PLAN ON WEARING THE HAIR AS IS. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DEEP CONDITION THE HAIR AS NEEDED AND IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME, BUT IM SORRY TO SAY IT CAN NOT HANDLE CHEMICAL PROCESSING.

WHEN PURCHASING QUALITY 5A VIRGIN HAIR FOR CHEMICAL PROCESSING BE SURE THAT IT IS 100% HUMAN HAIR AND NOT REMY AND YOU WILL BE OK!

IM GUESSING BY NOW YOU ALL READY KNOW THAT 4A GRADE VIRGIN HAIR IS NOT GOOD FOR CHEMICALLY PROCESSING EITHER. IF YOU ASK ME IT IS THE SAME HAIR THAT THEY SALE WITH THE LABEL 5A BRAZILIAN "REMY" VIRGIN HAIR. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO FOOL?

SINCE WE ARE ON THE TOPIC OF CHEMICALLY PROCESSING LET ME SHARE WITH YOU MY FAVORITE BLEACHING POWDER. IT IS THE L'OREAL QUICK BLUE BLEACHING POWDER. I LOVE IT!!! MOST PEOPLE MIX IT WITH 30 VOLUME BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO OVER PROCESS THE HAIR. AS FOR ME, I LIKE TO TAKE CHANCES AND I'M IMPATIENT SO I GO WITH THE 40 VOLUME! I ONLY LEAVE THE BLEACH ON FOR ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTE BECAUSE IT LIGHTENS THE HAIR REALLY FAST! I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY OTHER GREAT TYPES OF BLEACHING POWDERS OUT THERE I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU MY FAVORITE.

AFTER DOING ANY TYPE OF CHEMICAL PROCESSING ON YOUR HAIR PLEASE CONDITION!! CONDITION!! CONDITION!! AND CONDITION AGAIN!!!

WITH THAT BEING SAID DEEP CONDITIONING IS ONLY RECOMMENDED MAYBE EVERY TWO WEEKS. WHEN DEEP CONDITIONING PLEASE BE SURE TO COVER YOUR HAIR WITH A PLASTIC CAP. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE GO IN THE KITCHEN AND GRAB A PLASTIC GROCERY BAG AND PUT IT OVER YOUR HEAD!! IT IS IMPORTANT TO COVER THE HAIR BECAUSE THAT'S WHEN THE CONDITIONER PENETRATES INTO THE HAIR STRANDS THE BEST. ONE OF MY FAVORITE BRANDS OF CONDITIONER AT THE MOMENT IS "NATURES GATE". THIS BRAND IS FOR NATURAL HAIR  BUT ALTHOUGH I'M NOT NATURAL I USE IT ANYWAY BECAUSE IT HAS NONE OF THOSE HARMFUL INGREDIENTS THAT WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR, BECAUSE I WEAR EXTENSIONS BUT TRUST ME I DON'T HAVE TO. BE SURE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR UNDER THAT WEAVE LADIES!!!
